Mod Lilly
Lilly is a co-head mod for this event and you might know her from last year’s Bang since this is her second time modding the Kaminari Big Bang! She’s been in the fandom for a while now, mainly known for her ShinKami agenda which is the ship she writes fics for. The ShinKami Week 2021 was modded by her as well, which has now evolved into the ShinKami Events account. This year you can also find her modding the ShinKami Mega Bang 2022, so she’s gathered quite some experience and is looking forward to mod this event once again after it’s been such a blast last time!

Kara is a co-head mod for this event and can't wait to see all the amazing Kaminari content it will produce! Kara has been a mod for various big bang events as well as being a moderator for a few zines. Kara has also been a writer for multiple big bangs events and zines.

Mod Steff
Steff has been in the fandom for a few years, but this is the first bang she’s ever been a mod for, so be gentle with her! She participated in last year’s Kaminari Bang (which was also her first bang ever!) and had a lot of fun, so she’s really excited to join again and help out as much as she can to make this year just as spectacular as last year! Her AO3 is full of a lot of x reader content but her true passion is writing ShinKami! She’s looking forward to seeing all the amazing content your beautiful minds will create!

Mod Pluto
Pluto has been within fandom spaces for quite some time, having written fanfiction for six years. Kaminari is one of their favorite characters, and a comfort character of theirs, and they are so stoked to mod for this bang. At this point, they have modded for several bangs and zines, having the most experience as head mod and writer mod. Along with this, they have contributed to a handful of fan events as well in the writer position. They are so excited to help out on the mod team this year, as they participated in this bang last year and had a blast.

Be kind and respectful. This means no slurs, hate speech, trans/homophobia, etc. You acknowledge that “no” and “stop” are complete sentences. Only give critiques when asked, etc.

Please refrain from discussing your work outside of the server since we want to keep the works a surprise. Writers are asked to keep their ideas to the writers channel before teams are announced to keep claims fair.

Underage NSFW content will not be allowed. Additionally, we won't allow any Minor/Adult and Student/Teacher content in any form, even if aged up. Non-con content will also not be allowed.
As this is a SFW/NSFW event, the Discord server will be split into SFW and NSFW sections.

What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang (or “Bang” for short) is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms.

The Kaminari Big Bang is a Big Bang event centered around Kaminari Denki from the manga/anime Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kōhei.

Will ships be allowed?
Yes, ships are allowed, but make sure to keep the focus on Kaminari!

Are there content restrictions?
Yes. While NSFW is allowed, any Minor/Adult ships are not allowed (even if you change the ages of the minor or adult in your fic from the canon age). This includes Teacher/Student ships even if the student is technically an adult. We also do not want any underage NSFW, so you have to age the characters up for that.
In addition, non-con is not allowed.

Yes. Let a mod know when applications are out that you plan to partner with someone ahead of time.

Absolutely! The majority of communication will be made through Discord.

Will I be able to apply as a writer and an artist?
Yes! You can also choose to be a beta or pinch hitter in addition to being a writer/artist. You do not need to be a writer/artist to be a beta/pinch hitter.

What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is kind of like backup. Life can get crazy, and we aren’t always able to finish projects we thought we could. If you need to drop from the event, a pinch hitter will step in to complete the work.

Yes! However, they will not be allowed to create any NSFW content.
